I was wondering if anyone has experience with NameCheap as a domain registrar only (not their hosting). What did you think? Are their hidden fees? Fairly easy to use?

How would you compare it to your experiences elsewhere if any?

If you don’t like it, what would you suggest and why.

I’ve found NameCheap to be a great domain registrar. I’ve been using them for several years now after being exclusively with 1&1 and can honestly say that in my opinion, they’re the best out there. I use them only as a registrar – all my hosting is now coming from Hostgator, who I also recommend strongly.

I have clients who use all manner of registrars and hosts and it never ceases to amaze me how bad some of them can be, so I always count my blessings that I found the great combination of NameCheap and Hostgator.
