If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!
There have been a couple of changes recently at John’s Tech Blog. Regular visitors may have already spotted the “MyBlogLog” widget halfway down the left navbar, and I’m sure you can’t miss the new Dilbert widget over on the right!
This leads me on to a couple of questions for my readers:
- Do these widgets add or detract from your enjoyment of John’s Tech Blog?
- Do they seem to noticeably slow down the loading of the page?
- Would you be more likely to visit this site knowing that you can read the latest Dilbert whilst you’re here?
These widgets are both really easy to add to your own site, if you’d like to! They both have a “Grab It” link, although you have to click on “Click here for today’s strip” on the Dilbert widget first. I fyou need any help adding them, please drop me a line at my support site - http://support.sabinet.co.uk and I’ll see what I can do.
Finally, please consider joining my community on MyBlogLog - there’s a link on the widget to do this, and it will help us to stay in touch.
Enjoy!
-John.

I’m a Dilbert fan and enjoyed reading Dilbert via the widget. But I removed the Dilbert widget from my blog I felt it slowed it down. Also no one complained when I removed it for what’s it’s worth.

Love Dilbert. It didn’t affect load time for me (new computer thought).
I HATE cloud tags personally and yours is bleeding over into your content. I don’t think I’ll ever put one on my site. I just don’t think it does a thing for me.
The MyBlogLog widget is ok. It serves as kind of ‘testimonial’ IMHO and I like mine on my site.
Also, all of this kind of depends on your goals. If you are after making money, you don’t have near enough ways to monetize the site - as far as I can tell. If you need a place to vent. Have at it.
Best of luck,
Pam Hoffman
